Meet Jesus

Let me introduce you to Jesus…

He is the most awesome person who ever lived! I’ve known Him since I was nine years old, and my life would definitely have been a mess without Him.

He is the Son of God, and He loves you. That’s right…YOU! Don’t believe me?

Take a look at this (click on the banner). It is full of truth from the Bible about God and Jesus and who God created you to be. When you’re done, come on back. I have more to tell you.

Did you watch the whole thing? Isn’t this the most amazing news ever?!

What I can tell you is that having Jesus as Lord of my life gives my life meaning. He is my constant companion, and His constant presence gives me peace. Remember all those Christmas carols about peace on earth? Yep, that’s what that means!

Peace from God through Jesus Christ comes when we receive forgiveness for our sins through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. We deserved death for our sins. Jesus didn’t deserve to die; He lived a sinless life. But He chose to die for us, because He loves us that much! What amazing love!

That journey I was talking about before…this journey of life? We can go about it in two ways–doing it on our own or walking with Jesus and following His lead. Our own way will always move us away from God and into a lot of trouble. But when we follow Jesus, even the most treacherous terrain is manageable and there are treasures to be found all along the way.

We were made to have a relationship with God, to fellowship with Him, and to worship Him. When we try to live life without Him, it is a dark place indeed. Don’t live life without Him. Your eternal life is at stake! Please pray and ask God to help you believe. And if you have any questions, please reply. I’ll be glad to respond. I have no greater blessing than to talk to anyone about Jesus!

Here are some of the verses in the Bible that tell about what Jesus did:

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 14:6 – “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'”

Romans 3:23 – “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Acts 3:19 – “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

Romans 10:9-10 – “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Matthew 7:21 – “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father in heaven.”

John 6:28-29 – “Then they asked Him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’ Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent.”

John 20:31 – “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Romans 1:16 – “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – “…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures…”

Acts 5:30-32 – “The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead… God exalted Him to His own right hand as Prince and Savior that He might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

My friend, Jesus is real and alive. He wants to have a relationship with You. That is what you were created for! I pray that the Lord God will give you faith to believe in this most precious gift–the forgiveness of sins through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. And in believing, that You will accept Him as your personal Lord and your Savior. Will you pray to Him now?

Please leave a reply…whether you pray or not. I want to pray for you and with you.

Blessings in Christ,

Sabra Penley
